My obsession started in grade school with the Black Stallion books by Walter Farley. One of my older sisters suggested it, and I was hooked. From there I quickly moved on to her high school reading list. My parents might have objected if they'd known, and I didn't purposely keep it from them, but I just never told anyone I was picking up the books my older siblings left laying around the house.
